Their story began on October 22, 2023, when Walter sat next to Symphony during Bible Study. They first met through Houston First Baptist Church and quickly became inseparable as best friends.

Symphony messaged Walter on "Group Me", then Walter asked for her number, and they would talk and text daily.

Their friendship grew incredibly strong in the fall of 2024, and they soon realized they were interested in each other. On March 27, 2025, they became a dating couple. On April 17, 2025, Walter gave Symphony a handcrafted heart-shaped necklace, explaining he would only give it to the woman he had truly given his heart to—a gesture they both jokingly call Symphony's promise ring.

During that season, God created a life-changing story of His unconditional, redemptive, and all-consuming love, which brought Walter and Symphony closer to Him.

On August 16, 2025, at 7:00 PM, Walter asked Symphony to marry him. She instantly said yes, and they began to soak in the moment!
